Introduction to Fire Risk Assessment and Substantiating the Suitability of a Fire Model

Presented by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, join Bill Koffel and other global experts for three days of networking events, presentations, case studies, and live discussions on current and future trends in fire regulatory systems for performance-based design. The conference will provide an excellent global opportunity to address current and future trends in building and fire regulatory systems, the contribution of fire protection engineers to innovative design solutions, and the latest developments in fire modelling, risk assessment and analysis in support of those solutions and their approvals. The conference will also provide a forum for discussion of the issues of fire protection engineering education, professional competence, product certification and inspection, fire safety maintenance and management, verification methods and all the regulatory and administrative provisions needed to ensure that effective fire safety outcomes result from performance-based design solutions. In addition to the conference, two pre-conference seminars have been scheduled for April 15 – 16, on the Introduction to Fire Risk Assessment and Substantiating the Suitability of a Fire Model. On April 16th attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the Danish Institute of Fire and Security laboratory and witness a live fire test offering a dynamic demonstration of the innovative high-pressure water mist spray bar; capacity is limited, and registration is required.

On April 18th from 4:00 – 5:00 (UTC+1), Bill Koffel will be moderating a panel discussion on Fire Safety in Single Stair Tall Buildings. This panel will discuss the importance of adhering to local fire safety regulations and codes for single stair tall buildings and how to ensure compliance.
