Our Corporate Culture is Important to Us
We are pleased to have received the Smart CEO's Corporate Culture Award in 2015 and 2016. Nominated by an independent committee of local business leaders, we were recognized as a company for championing "a positive, productive culture in their organization, and will have worked with employees to develop successful cultural practices". We are proud that our values, the foundation of everything we do, were recognized for benefiting our employees, our clients, and the fire protection industry, as a whole.
Community Involvement
Koffel Associates actively participates in making and helping our communities grow and thrive, not only as a company, but as individuals. A few examples of our company community involvement include:
- Participation in the Howard County Prepare for Success School Supplies Drive
- Working with Elizabeth Seton High School Students on the University of Maryland Department of Fire Protection Engineering Design Challenge
- Hosting Tailgate parties at the University of Maryland on behalf of the SFPE Student Chapter
- Participation in the 2016 Howard County STEM Festival
- Participation in the CASHE Toys for Tots Holiday toy drive
- Participation and donations to the Maryland Food Bank
- Companywide participation in the Get Active Howard County Campaign
Many of our employees volunteer for various organizations throughout the community such as:
• Collecting and donating clothes and food for the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis, MD
• Collecting and donating food and supplies to the Maryland SPCA
• Volunteering time at the local horse rescue, working to rehabilitate abused, abandoned and homeless horses
• Volunteering time at the local food bank
• The Red Devils
